Thunder Announce Charity Gala on January 31

(TRENTON, NJ) - The Trenton Thunder Minor League Baseball team announced today that it will host the inaugural "Jersey Pinstripes", a Hot Stove Dinner & Benefit on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at the Trenton Marriott. The event will be emceed by New Jersey's own Joe Piscopo thanks to Roma Bank and will feature appearances by former Yankee player, Manager and General Manager Gene "Stick" Michael, Philadelphia Phillies TV Broadcaster Tom McCarthy, former Major Leaguer Steve Braun, New Jersey native and Boston prospect Jayson Hernandez and more to be announced soon. The event will benefit Trenton Thunder Charities and Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.

Jersey Pinstripes will feature a cocktail hour starting at 6:00pm with live music, a silent auction, baseball themed fun, sponsor tables and activities and cash bar. The program portion of the event will include a buffet dinner, silent auction, autograph opportunities and the chance to hear from a distinguished panel of baseball greats.

Tickets are $94 per person, with net proceeds benefit ing Hurricane Sandy relief efforts and Trenton Thunder Charities.

The Trenton Thunder's 20th season will begin on Thursday, April 4 at Portland with the home opener slated for Thursday, April 11 vs. Richmond. The Thunder played the first game in Trenton on May 9, 1994.
