Lincoln Stars News Release

Lincoln, Neb. - Ethen Frank, Alex Green and Cayden Primeau were named to the United States Junior Select Team that will compete at the World Junior A Challenge from Dec. 11 - 17 in Bonnyville, Alberta.

Stars coach Chris Hartsburg will see his talent first-hand as he was named assistant coach for the U.S. Junior Select Team in September.

"We are extremely excited to have three players and our coach selected to represent USA Hockey," Stars GM Jon Hull said. "Anytime we can play a part in helping our players and staff represent their country it's tremendous."

"Ethen, Alex and Cayden are very deserving of this honor," Hull said. "We hope they use this experience to help our team in its quest for a Clark Cup playoff run."

Frank will represent the United States for the first time in international competition. He is a 5'10" 178 pound forward with eight points through 16 games in his second full USHL season. The Western Michigan commit has 29 points in 67 career games. He is from Papillion, Neb.

Green will also make his debut with Team USA. The 6'2" 177 pound defenseman leads the Stars on the blue line with five assists through 17 games. The Cornell commit has seven points in 57 career games. He is from Chicago, Ill.

Primeau brings the most experience to the U.S. Junior Select Team after standing between the pipes at the 2016 Ivan Hlinka Tournament and 2015 U17 Five Nations Tournament. The 6'3" 179 pound goalie is committed to Northeastern University. He has gone 3-4-1 with a 2.34 GAA and .897 save percentage in his first USHL season. Primeau is from Voorheees, N.J.

All 21 players selected to play in the tournament are currently in the USHL. Twenty of the players are committed to Division I schools. Eighty USHL alumni played in the WJAC before being selected in the NHL Draft.
