Three Herd Players Invited to NBA G League Elite Mini Camp

James Blackmon Jr., JeQuan Lewis and James Young have been invited to participate in the ninth annual NBA G League Elite Mini Camp.
The two-day scouting event will tip off on May 14 at Chicago's Quest Multisport gym. The camp offers some of the NBA G League's top prospects the opportunity to showcase their skills in front of NBA team personnel before NBA Summer League and 2018 training camps.
In 19 games with the Herd, Blackmon Jr. averaged 16.7 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 32.6 minutes per game. The Herd acquired the former Indiana Hoosier via a trade with the Delaware 87ers on Jan. 26, 2018. Blackmon Jr. shot "50-40-90" while with the Herd - 50.7 percent from the field, 43.5 percent from beyond the arc and 92.7 percent from the free throw line.
An affiliate player with the Milwaukee Bucks, Lewis appeared in 49 games (16 starts) with the Herd. The VCU product averaged 9.2 points, 4.6 assists and 1.6 steals in 28.0 minutes per game in his Rookie season.
Before singing a Two-Way contract with the Philadelphia 76ers on Jan. 5, 2018, Young appeared in 20 games (all starts) with the Herd. He averaged 22.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.5 steals in 33.5 minutes per game.
