Three Blades Named to ECHL All-Star Game

ESTERO, FL - The Florida Everblades in conjunction with the ECHL announced today that forward Kevin Baker, defenseman Aaron Brocklehurst and goaltender David Leggio have all been selected to the 2009 ECHL All-Star Game.

Baker, the Everblades team captain, makes his second appearance in an ECHL All-Star Game after being voted as a starter for the American Conference. The 29-year-old was also voted as a starter for the American Conference for the 2007 ECHL All-Star Game, during which he scored a goal and added an assist. Baker currently leads the ECHL in scoring with 42 points and 11 power play goals and is second in the league in goals with 23 and 18 power play points.

Both Brocklehust and Leggio are making their first All-Star game appearances in their rookie seasons. The 23-year-old Brocklehurst has notched 13 points (4g, 9a) in 25 games this season. Brocklehurst joined the Everblades this season after wrapping up a four-year collegiate career at St. Cloud State University.

Leggio, 24, is one of three goaltenders on the American Conference squad after posting an 8-3-1 record with a 2.48 goals against average, a .912 save percentage and two shutouts. The Buffalo, NY native also joined the Everblades this season out of the college ranks, competing at Clarkson University for the last four seasons.
