TORONTO - With exactly one month until their historic home opener at newly renovated BMO Field, the Toronto Argonauts kick off their 2016 marketing campaign tonight during Game 4 of the Toronto Raptors playoff series against the Cleveland Cavaliers on TSN. The 30-second commercial spot kicks off a full marketing campaign that includes TV, digital, radio and out of home advertising throughout downtown Toronto that will hit the streets starting this week.

"With training camp opening this weekend, it's the perfect time for us to introduce the new Argos to Torontonians," said Michael Copeland, President and CEO for the Argos. "And when we talk about the new Argos, its not just the players we added in free agency or through the CFL Draft. It's about new ownership, a new stadium and an entirely new Argos experience that will happen in and around BMO Field this year. It's about an authentic football experience to compliment our great team on the field. We can't wait to show our city what Argos Football really is."

The marketing campaign was developed with the Argos' agency of record Bensimon Byrne.

The Argos will officially arrive at BMO Field on Thursday, June 23 when they host the Hamilton Tiger-Cats to kickoff the 2016 CFL season. Fans can secure tickets to attend the home opener by purchasing season tickets or a three game flex-pack. Single game tickets go on-sale on June 1st.
