Thirsty Thursday Welcomes the Barons Back to Regions Field

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Birmingham Barons return to Regions Field for a five game series against the Pensacola Blue Wahoos starting April 28th, the second chance for fans to see the 2016 Barons in action at home this year.

Thirsty Thursday presented by Miller Lite, Woodbridge, and Buffalo Wild Wings uncorks the first game of the series with a 7:05 p.m. first pitch. Fans can enjoy the pregame Thursday Night Concert Series presented by Birmingham Mountain Radio, and a "Mardi Gras in April" theme at Regions Field sponsored by Cajun Steamer throughout the game.

Friday Night Fireworks presented Hibbett Sports, Alabama Power, and Coca-Cola cap off a Superheroes Night theme sponsored by Children's of Alabama on April 29th. The Barons game-worn jerseys will be auctioned off during the game to benefit Children's of Alabama, with first pitch once again slated for 7:05 p.m.

NASCAR legend Bobby Allison will be making an appearance thanks to Wind Creek Hospitality, and the Barons will be hosting Tornado Safety Awareness Night during the second FIAT Friday of the season, presented by FIAT of Birmingham.

Barons' fans are encouraged to arrive early to Regions Field Saturday, April 30th, as the first 1,000 kids 12 and under will receive a replica Barons batting helmet thanks to Coca-Cola ahead of the 6:30 p.m. first pitch.

The first Salute to Armed Forces Sunday of the season presented by NAPA will be Sunday, May 1st, with a 3:00 p.m. first pitch. The Barons will host the third annual Autism Friendly Day at Regions Field, with another custom jersey silent auction during the game and a pregame Youth Baseball Clinic from 1:00-2:00 p.m.

YP Monday presented by YP.com rounds out the five game stretch on Monday, May 2nd, with a special 11:30 a.m. first pitch as the Barons wrap up the second home stand of the season before taking on the Montgomery Biscuits in a brief five game road trip to conclude the first week of May.
