Home Cooking

The Royals are at the Santander Arena for the first four games of the 2017-18 regular season, the longest season-opening home stand in team history. The previous record was three straight home games to open the season in 2002-03.

Fourth time in Reading

The Royals signed Adam Comrie Friday and the defenseman is set for his fourth season in a Royals uniform. He has previously suited up for Reading in 2012-13, 2014-15 and 2015-16. Comrie needs five points to match Simon Tremblay's team record (86) for points by a defenseman.

Bench men

Head Coach Kirk MacDonald is entering his first season as Royals Head Coach. He is in his fourth season with the Royals, serving as Assistant Coach for three campaigns and the Royals interim Head Coach for the final three regular season games of 2016-17. Assistant Coach Patrick Wellar was an assistant last season in Cincinnati.

Get used to it

Reading plays Adirondack 14 times and Wheeling 11 times in 2017-18. The Royals were 7-2-1-1 against the Thunder and 5-2-0-0 against the Nailers last season.
