The Race for Playoffs Continues as Mke Wave Take on Cedar Rapids Sunday at Uw-Milwaukee Panther Aren

After coming off a 1-1 weekend on the East Coast, your Six-Time Champion Milwaukee Wave prepare to faceoff against Cedar Rapids Rampage at UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena Sunday afternoon at 2:05pm.

"We played a great game against Syracuse the first night." Said Head Coach Giuliano Oliviero. "You could tell the back-to-back nights and travel affected us the second half against Baltimore, but we are satisfied with the 1-1 outcome of last weekend. Now we just look forward to playing Sunday"

The Cedar Rapids Rampage currently sit in second in MASL Central Division as the Milwaukee Wave are currently in third. This will be the fourth game the Wave has played against the Rampage this season.

"It's a big game for both organizations." Said Oliviero. "We've been having a great week of practice and we're going to put our best foot forward come Sunday. "

Milwaukee Wave midfielder, number 24 Max Ferdinand was named MASL Player of Month. Ferdinand leads the league in assists with 28 total. Goalkeeper, number 30 Josh Lemos and midfielder, number 26 Ian Bennett were named Team of the Week for Week 14.

"When you have the top goalkeeper, leading scorer, and leading assist man in the league you have the recipe for success." Commented Oliviero. "The atmosphere around the team is outstanding and we know we can't take any steps backward. All of our focus is on Cedar Rapids and playing them here on Sunday."

Josh Lemos was named to the Major Arena Soccer League's Team of the Week for Week 14 of action as he continues excel in his rookie season. Lemos made 15 saves against the Cedar Rapids offense. His total number of saves is 129 with a .701 save percentage.

#26 Midfielder - Ian Bennett.

Ian Bennett was also named to the Major Arena Soccer League's Team of the Week for Week 14 of action as he continued his exciting 2017 campaign with a four goal weekend, scoring three against Syracuse and one against Baltimore.

Bennett leads the team in points and goals with 56 and 46. He also leads the league in Power Play Goals with 14 and is ranked first in points with 56.
