MIAMI, Fla.-The Miami FC, Miami's only professional soccer team, has named long-time sports executive Sean Flynn its CEO. Flynn joins the Club in its inaugural season in the North American Soccer League (NASL).  

Charged with driving the Club's long-term vision of inspiring the community's soccer passion through excellence on the field and in the community, Flynn will focus on building a fan base, enhancing the game-day experience and operations, growing corporate partnerships and maximizing civic engagement.  He will also be responsible for expanding the front-office staff, matching the ownership's on-field investment which has generated positive results in the NASL's Fall Season. Flynn brings more than 25 years of experience in professional sports.

I've every confidence that under Sean's leadership Miami FC will be a soccer club that will make the city proud."  

Exemplifying the passion and diversity the Club shares with Miamians, Flynn will lead a variety of strategic initiatives to drive community engagement in the second half of the Miami FC's inaugural season. Reinforcing the affordability and energized family-friendly atmosphere that the Club's promises, each remaining home match will feature a special program including pre-, in- and post-match entertainment or fan activations. The Miami FC is also showcasing its commitment to the wellbeing of the community, as the Club will participate in various philanthropic initiatives such as the American Cancer Society's "Go Gold" campaign.   

Having previously served as the Senior Vice President of Marketing and Event Booking with the Miami Marlins and Vice President of Marketing with the Tampa Bay Lightning, Flynn led award-winning advertising and promotional efforts that have been replicated throughout the industry. He returns to soccer, a sport where he started his career as the Director of Marketing and Sales for the United Soccer League. Flynn received his Master's in sports administration from St. Thomas University in Miami, and completed his undergraduate work in accounting at St. Mary's University in San Antonio.

The Miami FC is currently in the midst of its inaugural season in the NASL, playing its home games at Ocean Bank Field at FIU Stadium. The Club is coached by Italian soccer legend Alessando Nesta and co-owned by international entrepreneur Riccardo Silva and world-renowned soccer superstar Paolo Maldini.
