The "Big" Wait is Over

Elmira, NY- The Elmira Jackals, proud member of the ECHL, announced today that forward Robin Big Snake who originally singed in August, has joined the team and will see his first action in Elmira when the Jackals return to home ice on Friday and Saturday January, 9th and 10th for a double header with the Johnstown Chiefs.
Hailing from Siksiki Nation, Alberta, Big Snake enters his third season of action with Jackals Head Coach Steve Martinson. In the 2005-2006 season for the Rockford Ice Hogs, Robin netted 46 points and amassed 423 minutes in penalties. Finishing the season with 27 goals, Big Snake ranked third on the team, while leading the UHL in fighting majors.
Big Snake again had a busy season in 2006-2007 when he racked up 42 points to outline his 330 minutes in penalties. Over the course of his three year professional hockey career, the 6'1'' 220 pounder has scored 49 goals and racked up 1,109 penalty minutes all in 186 games.
"Robin quickly became a fan favorite in Rockford due to his aggressive play and ability to score big goals" said Jackals Head Coach Steve Martinson. "With Robin joining physical players, Lutz and Couture, we now have a team that can play the style of hockey that I like."
NEXT UP: The Jackals are in Wheeling tonight, Friday, January 2nd and tomorrow night, Saturday the 3rd. Both games are set for 7:35 p.m. The Jackals return to HOME ICE on Friday, Jan 9th and Saturday, Jan 10th when they host the Johnstown Chiefs at First Arena.
