Texas Acquires Assane Sene and Vernon Lewis

Frisco, TX Nov. 5, 2012 -- The Texas Legends acquired center Assane Sene and forward Vernon Lewis in exchange for guard Marcus Simmons, the team announced Monday.
Assane Sene (7'0", 234, Virginia) was selected in the sixth round of the NBA D-League Draft by the Canton Charge. Sene averaged 3.54 points, and 4.47 rebounds during his four years at UVA.
Vernon Lewis (6'6", 225, Paul Quinn) was selected in the eighth round of the NBA D-League Draft by the Canton Charge.
Marcus Simmons was selected by the Legends in the sixth round of the NBA D-League Draft. Simmons (6'6", 200, USC) averaged 16.7 minutes, 3 points, and 1.95 rebounds during his four year career at USC.
Texas will open the 2012 - 2013 season against the 66ers on Friday, November 23rd in Tulsa at the SpirtBank Event Center. November 28th marks the home opener for the Legends at HP Court at Dr Pepper Arena against the Austin Toros.
