Terre Haute's Rosselli Elected President

January 12, 2016 - Prospect League (Prospect)
Terre Haute Rex News Release

The great news continues to flow from Terre Haute, Indiana within the baseball world. In addition to winning the 2015 Prospect League Championship, the Terre Haute REX will help lead the League off the field.

Bruce Rosselli, co-owner and GM of the REX, was elected as President of the Board last week at the annual Board of Directors Meeting in Nashville, TN.

"Bruce has been an essential part of the Prospect League since becoming the managing member of the REX ownership group in 2014," said Commissioner Bryan Wickline.

In his new role as President, Rosselli has his vision set on keeping the League moving forward, but knows that it will take work from all of the teams to do so.

"I am humbled to be elected president, by such a prestigious and respected group of team owners," stated Rosselli. "I intend to listen to the board's opinions, using consistency as a focus point and guide this league forward, which in my mind has the greatest name for summer baseball (Prospect League) to the nation's top tier level."

Last summer over 340,000 people attended Prospect League games; its 12 teams are spread across six states.

"Bruce's marketing experience at an international level and his vision for the future will be instrumental in his leadership role on the Board," added Wickline. "I'm excited to be working with Bruce on many projects in the upcoming year."

"Working closely with Bryan, our commissioner, and other team owners, we can meet the vision we have chosen in our five-year plan," added Rosselli. And continuing to attract national sponsors, such as adidas, will only add value to our league, team expansion opportunities, and attract top tier players to help develop them to the professional level."

Rosselli attended Indiana State University and Indiana Wesleyan University with a Bachelors degree in Business Management.

Bruce is married to former Olympic athlete Cheryl (Dadian) Rosselli, a 27-time national and international Table Tennis champion. Bruce and Cheryl have a daughter, Paige, and a son, Tony. Paige is a graduate of Indiana State University, and Tony, a junior, plays baseball for Indiana State, and played for the REX in the summer of 2014.

Rounding out the League's Executive Committee is Champion City's Rick White (Vice President), DuPage's Joshua Schaub (Secretary), Springfield's Shane Martin (Treasurer), West Virginia's Tim Epling (East At-Large) and Quincy's Jimmie Louthan (West At-Large).
