Minot, ND - As the 2016/17 NAHL season draws near we are giving Tauros fans a chance to meet all of the new members of the club as well as learn a little more about the returning Tauros. We will play 20 questions with a different Tauro every day from now until the NAHL Showcase going in number order, today we catch up with veteran forward #18 Austin Koss.

Out of Huntington Beach, CA, Koss spent the last two seasons skating for the LA Jr. Kings U16 and U18 teams. In two seasons in the Tier 1 Elite Hockey League Koss posted 8 goals and 12 assists over 54 games. A gifted two-way player Koss brings decent size at 5'11 and 195 lbs. The Tauros have had good luck with players from the Golden State led by James Mathias, Merrick Madsen, Ryan Ruck, and Steven Sherman.

From the Coaches' Office: Austin was brought to us by our Head Scout, Chris Lonke who saw him at a camp this spring. Austin is a hard-nosed kid who competes extremely hard every day, is very physical, and will do whatever is asked of him. We expect him to be a responsible, two-way center that provides energy, and does the little things well. - Marty Murray

What inspired you to start playing hockey: going to the roller rink the first time to watch my friend in his game

Pregame routine: rest, good meal, stretch

Ideal pregame meal: chicken with vegetables and rice, or pasta with meatballs

Any hockey superstitions: no

Best hockey memory: scoring the game winning goal in OT to beat the Colorado Thunderbirds at the 2013 Nationals to make it to the quarterfinals.

Aside from people, what will you miss most from home: the beach, weather, and my dogs

Do you believe in ghosts or aliens: no

Favorite vacation spot: Surf and Sand Hotel on the waters of Laguna Beach

Least favorite word: lazy

Favorite candy bar: Hershey's

Favorite pizza topping: pepperoni

What song would you sing for Karaoke: Closer ft. The Chainsmokers

Favorite cartoon as a kid:SpongeBob

Do you have a hidden talent: good at Wii bowling

What's your dream car: Audi Q5
