Tacoma Ends Sacramento's Five-Game Winning Streak

WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Sacramento's five-game winning streak came to an end Tuesday afternoon as the Tacoma Rainiers topped the River Cats 5-3 at Raley Field. Former River Cat Jack Hannahan homered, and Tacoma starter Luke French (9-2, 2.39) allowed three runs over 7.0 innings for the win. Sacramento starter Travis Banwart (1-1, 4.50), making his Raley Field debut, allowed four runs (three earned), six hits and three walks over 4.0 innings, taking the loss. The River Cats, who entered Tuesday 7.0 games behind the first-place Fresno Grizzlies (Triple-A affiliates of the San Francisco Giants), next face Fresno in a three-game series at Raley Field starting Thursday night.
