Syracuse Chiefs to Hold Second Annual Pride Day

Syracuse, NY - The Syracuse Chiefs and are excited to partner with CNY Pride to hold the second annual Pride Day on Wednesday, June 14th at NBT Bank Stadium. The Chiefs will take on the Pawtucket Red Sox, the triple-a affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, the gates open at 5:30 p.m., first pitch is at 6:35 p.m. In addition, the first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive a limited edition pride hat, courtesy of I Love NY/lgbt.
"We are proud that the Chiefs were the first sports organization in town to have a Pride Day and we are proud to continue that again this year. The Chiefs are about inclusion and bringing this City together as one strong community. We are looking forward to another great Pride Day next week," said General Manager Jason Smorol.
This game is part of the events leading up to the annual CNY Pride Parade on Saturday, June 7th. The Chiefs will fly a rainbow flag on Pride Day and the LGBT Choir will sing the National Anthem. Pride Day will also be a Winning Wednesday featuring Baseball Bingo. If the Chiefs win on Pride Day, fans with a ticket to the game that day will be able to use their ticket stub to come back to another regular season home game in 2017. Ticket stubs can be exchanged at the NBT Bank Stadium Ticket Office, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fans who play Baseball Bingo will have the opportunity to win incredible gift cards to local restaurants.
