Syracuse, NY - The Syracuse Chiefs are excited to announce the 2018 Hot Stove Dinner speakers. Fomer Mets stars, Mookie Wilson, Edgardo Alfonzo, Tim Teufel & Ron Darling are all expected to attend the 58th Annual Hot Stove Dinner.

The Hot Stove Dinner will take place on Friday, December 8 th, 2017 at the Nicholas J. Pirro Convention Center at the The Oncenter, 800 S. State Street, Syracuse, NY 13202. Parking will be free for the event in The Oncenter parking garage. The 2018 Hot Stove is sponsored by; NBT Bank, Dunkin Donuts, Strada Mia, BlueRock Energy, Brophy Services, United Auto Supply and Cumulus Media.

"We are so excited for this year's Hot Stove," said general manager Jason Smorol, "the timing is perfect for us to welcome the New York Mets to Central New York. The fact that they are able to show up in such full force sends a clear message that the Mets are invested in our community. I hope we fill the place to welcome the Mets to Syracuse."

Mookie Wilson played nine seasons with the Mets and famously hit the ball that rolled underneath Bill Buckner's glove during the '86 World Series, which the Mets won. Edgardo Alfonzo is the Mets leader in post-season hits with 26, 3rd in hits with 1,136 and 5th in RBI's with 538. Alfonzo also won the Silver Slugger Awarded in 1999 and was elected to the MLB All-Star team in 2000 with the Mets. Tim Teufel was a member of the 1986 World Series Mets team. Teufel went on to manage in the Mets organization with Brooklyn (2003), Savannah (2007), St. Lucie (2004-05 & 2008-09), Binghamton (2010), Buffalo (2011), and was the Mets third base coach (2012-2016). Ron Darling won the 1989 Gold Glove with the Mets. He also helped lead the Mets to the 1986 World Series and is the Game 4 winner of the series. His overall record is 136-116.

This year, the Hot Stove Dinner will benefit Challenger Baseball, RBI Baseball, District 8 Little League and the Mike Hart Family Foundation. Since 2014, the Syracuse Chiefs Charitable Foundation has benefited over 140 different local organizations and groups with benefits totaling over $200,000 of donations, in-kind goods and services.

Tickets are $75 for adults, $35 for children (12 years and under). Tables of 10 are also available for $725, tables of 8 are available for $585. Tickets cannot be purchased at the door.

VIP tickets are $125 and must be purchased in addition to a regular ticket for dinner. This year, the VIP will include a meet & greet autograph session with all of the Mets greats. The VIP room will be open from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. for all guests with a VIP ticket.

The Hot Stove Dinner features a silent auction, panel discussions with the baseball stars as well as an interactive Q&A opportunity for all guests in attendance.

Tim Fox, from Newschannel 9 is on board to be the emcee again this year and Eric Gallanty, Lead Broadcaster for the Syracuse Chiefs will lead the panel discussions.
