April 2, 2004 - Atlantic League (AtL)
Atlantic City Surf News Release

ATLANTIC CITY__The Atlantic City Surf announced today that there will be a preseason game against the Camden Riversharks on Sunday, May 2 at 1:30 p.m. on the historic Alden Field. Tickets are $3 for adults and $1 for children and will benefit the Bridgeton Recreation Department.

The Bridgeton Recreation Department will host a lunch after the game for both teams at the Sports Museum located across the street from Alden Field this year. “We’re delighted to have the Surf and the Riversharks return to Alden field,” said Bob Rose, Director of Bridgeton Recreation Department. “Last year this event drew over 1,000 fans and thousands of dollars which were donated to the Little League, Babe Ruth, and American Youth Program. It is great to say that all of the proceeds went directly back into the communities.”

“This game is very important to the Atlantic League because of the exposure that both the Surf and Riversharks receive,” said Mario Perrucci, General Manager, Atlantic City Surf. “I think it’s remarkable that the Bridgeton Recreation Department donates the proceeds from this game back into the community and we are very appreciative that we could be a part of that.”

Cumberland County will be hosting the Annual Kid’s Fest at the Cohanzick Zoo on Saturday, May 1 from 11a.m.-3p.m. along with the Kid’s Fishing Derby on Sunday, May 2 from 8a.m.-1p.m. Both events are free of charge. On both Saturday and Sunday the Annual Millville Air Show, “Wings and Wheels,” will be taking place as well.
