Colorado Rapids News Release
COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (February 22, 2013) - Rapids supporters group Centennial 38 (C38) has collaborated with the Colorado Rapids to purchase and manage future sales of all tickets in the Supporters Terrace and Section 108 at Dick's Sporting Goods Park. C38, which is the new Rapids supporters group founded this year as a combination of the three largest groups from past years, will celebrate the new endeavor with a party at Celtic Tavern this Saturday at 6 p.m. MT.
"Centennial 38 taking ownership of all the tickets in the Supporters Terrace and Section 108 shows just how committed and passionate the members of their group are," said Colorado Rapids President Tim Hinchey. "We're excited to help them continue to build their membership and we're looking forward their vocal support in those sections and beyond during the 2013 season."
"As a board, we couldn't be more excited than to announce this to our membership," said of Dave Wegner of the C38 Board. "We feel it truly establishes the next level of building and expanding the supporter's culture at Dick's Sporting Goods Park and of becoming one of the greatest supporters groups in Major League Soccer."
The Supporters Terrace and Section 108 comprise approximately 1050 seats, and tickets to those sections will be sold exclusively through Centennial 38 at reduced prices: $20 in the Terraces and $30 in Sec. 108 (compared to $29 and $40 in previous seasons). Fans interested in attending a Rapids game in either section, or in joining C38, can visit www.c38sg.com.
All Rapids fans are invited to attend the kickoff party for Centennial 38 this Saturday at Celtic Tavern, starting at 6 p.m. The party will feature a Q&A with Hinchey and Technical Director Paul Bravo, as well as raffles, prizes, and a silent auction.
