Suns Take on Mudcats Starting Friday Night

JACKSONVILLE, FL - The Jacksonville Suns return from a long road trip for a five-game series against the Carolina Mudcats! Come downtown to the Baseball Grounds to catch all the action Friday through Tuesday!

The Suns start the series on Friday night with Hurricane Preparedness Night! The first 3,000 fans can receive hurricane tracking charts from First Coast News, with hurricane-related prizes given away throughout the night leading to a grand prize of a portable generator! Sponsored by First Coast News 12 & 25 and WOKV AM690 & 106.5FM. The Blood Alliance starts a weekend-long blood drive from 4:30-7:30, with a free reserved ticket to blood donors while supplies last. Friday is also National Doughnut Day - if the Suns shut out the Mudcats, one lucky fan will win $10,000 cash courtesy of Krispy Kreme! And stick around after the game for the Friday Family Fireworks, presented by NAPA Auto Parts!

Saturday night is the US Army Birthday Celebration! The first 3,000 fans receive a Suns camouflage cap as we celebrate the 234th birthday of the US Army, courtesy of the US Army Recruiting Battalion and 99.1 WQIK. It's also Chevy night - catch the hottest rides around from Chevrolet! And the Blood Alliance blood drive continues from 3:30-6:30 with a free reserved ticket while supplies last!

Be sure to bring the kids early on Sunday for the Suns' annual Kids Clinic on the Field! Kids can go on the field before the game to receive instruction from Suns field staff from 1:30-2:30! Plus the first 1,000 kids through the gate get a paint-it-yourself bobblehead of Southpaw, courtesy of Winn-Dixie! The Blood Alliance blood drive returns for its final day from 12-3! It's also a Lance Family Sunday with buy-one-get-one-free tickets with three Lance wrappers, and kids can get free admission by showing their JTA summer youth pass! After the game, Kids Run the Bases, presented by La-Z-Boy!

Monday night get into the swing of things with Golf Night! Special ticket rates are available for area golf course staff, plus an exclusive giveaway of a trip for two to Doral Country Club in Miami! Plus bring your church bulletin from the prior Sunday to receive $5 off a regular-price ticket at the box office!

The Suns close out the series on Tuesday by celebrating the end of the school year! Area school staff can get in for just $1.50 with school ID, courtesy of Community First Credit Union!
