Sullivan Stars as the Nashua Silver Knights Defeat the Torrington Titans, 19-5

A magnificent effort by Ryan Sullivan spurred the Nashua Silver Knights (22-13) to a 19-5 win in eight innings over the Torrington Titans (13-21) on Friday at Holman Stadium.

Sullivan racked up seven RBIs on four hits for the Nashua Silver Knights. He singled in the third inning and homered in the first, second, and fourth innings.

Cam Cook delivered a clutch walk off the bench in the two. His pinch-hit was the key moment in the Nashua Silver Knights' 14-run win.

With the Nashua Silver Knights leading by one,.

Ten runs in the opening three innings allowed the Nashua Silver Knights to easily put away the Torrington Titans. A two-run home run by Sullivan in the first inning and , a two-run single by Harry Roberson, a double by Mickey Gasper, and a solo home run by Sullivan during the second inning supplied the early offense for the Nashua Silver Knights.

Even in defeat, Mike Kochiss played well for the Torrington Titans.

Kochiss paced the Torrington Titans at the plate. Kochiss went 3-4 and drove in one. He singled in the first, second, and seventh innings.

The Nashua Silver Knights had no answer for Kochiss, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Kochiss held the Nashua Silver Knights hitless over one inning, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out none.

JJ Dunn got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed four runs over five innings. Dunn struck out one, walked one and gave up seven hits.

Zeke Long ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fourth loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in two innings, walked two and struck out one.
