Suero Shuts Down Miracle as Crabs Come Back for 3-1 Win

FORT MYERS, Fla. (September 1, 2012) - Eliazer Suero pitched brilliantly to lead the Charlotte Stone Crabs over the Fort Myers Miracle 4-1 on Saturday at Hammond Stadium.
A crowd of 3,288 watched Suero hold the Miracle to one run on just two hits in seven innings in Fort Myers' final home game of the season. Suero walked four but also had four strike outs.
The Miracle took a 1-0 lead in the third when Angel Morales hit a lead off triple to right field and Daniel Santana beat out an infield single with two outs to score Morales.
The Stone Crabs answered back in the fourth. With two outs and Todd Glaesmann on third, reliever Ryan O'Rourke threw a wild pitch that allowed Glaesmann to come home and tie the game.
The Crabs took the lead in the sixth. David Wendt led off with a walk and took third on a single by Glaesmann. Steve Tinoco followed by grounding into a double play, but Wendt score to make it 2-1.
Ricky Bowen gave up a solo home run to Luke Bailey in the seventh to increase the Stone Crabs to 3-1. Charlotte added another run in the ninth on an RBI single from Cody Rogers.
Miguel Munoz got a rare start for the Miracle and pitched three scoreless innings.
The Miracle will conclude their season on Sunday when they travel up I-75 to play the Stone Crabs in Charlotte Sports Park at 5:30 p.m. Join the "Voice of the Miracle" Brice Zimmerman and Adam MacDonald one last time on miraclebaseball.com for the State Farm broadcast beginning 5:10 p.m.
