Stuart, Harrison & Palaga Join Blazers Full-Time

Kamloops, BC - The Kamloops Blazers have added a trio of 16-year-olds to their roster for the remainder of the 2016-17 season.

Forward Brodi Stuart, defenseman Devan Harrison and goaltender Max Palaga have all joined the Blazers full-time after their midget teams were eliminated from the playoffs in their respective leagues.

Stuart played this season with the Fraser Valley Thunderbirds of the B.C. Major Midget League. The 5'10" forward led his team in scoring with 18 goals, 26 assists and 44 points in 34 games this season. The Langley native has also played two regular season games with the Blazers this year.

Harrison was the Blazers second round pick in the 2015 WHL Bantam Draft. The 6'2" and 170lb defenseman played with the Moose Jaw Generals of the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League. He had 5 goals and 24 assists for 29 points in 44 games this season.

Palaga is a Kamloops native who played with the Thompson Blazers of the B.C. Major Midget League. He was listed by the hockey club in September 2015. He has spent plenty of time with the Blazers this season with goaltender Connor Ingram away at the World Junior Championships. In one appearance with the Blazers this season, he stopped six of seven shots in 19 minutes of playing time.

The Blazers now have 26 players on their roster including three goaltenders, eight defensemen and 15 forwards.
