Storm Storylines

February 13, 2018 - United States Hockey League (USHL) - Tri-City Storm News Release

The Tri-City Storm play three games this week against Omaha and Fargo. The Storm faceoff against the Omaha Lancers tomorrow night at the Viaero Center in Kearney for a Valentine's Day/Night matchup. Tri-City travels to Fargo Friday and Saturday for two games that will complete the four game season series between the two teams. Fargo won the first two games of the series this past weekend at the Viaero Center.

While Tri-City travels to Fargo, Red Dirt on the River will be held at the Viaero Center on Saturday night. Acts include Turnpike Troubadours, Wade Bowen, and William Clark Green. Tickets are on sale at www.kearneyevents.net, Storm tickets can be found at www.stormhockey.com.

Team Notes

- Tri-City is currently on its longest losing streak of the season at 4 games

- The Storm are winless in the month of February

- The last win for Tri-City came on January 28th in a 3-2 shootout win over Omaha.

- The Omaha Lancers have won 8 of their last 9 games and have risen to 1st place in the USHL standings. The only loss during that span was to Tri-City.

- Tomorrow night's Valentine's Day game will begin at 7:35PM and has been branded "Singles Night" with Wine specials, and a chance to enter to win a meet and greet with Head Coach Anthony Noreen as a few of the promotional tie ins.

- The Storm are last in the USHL in goals scored this season (94), but are 1st in the USHL in goals allowed (80).

- Tri-City is currently 6th in the USHL standings and 5th in the Western Conference.

- The USHL playoff format was expanded this year with the top 6 teams in each conference qualifying for the Clark Cup Playoffs.
