Sioux Falls Storm News Release

SIOUX FALLS, SD - The Sioux Falls Storm are excited to announce the signings of quarterbacks Quinn Epperly and Paul Jones for the 2018 season.

Epperly (6'2, 220lbs) attended rookie camps for the Dallas Cowboys, New York Jets and New York Giants. Quinn spent time with the BC Lions of the Canadian football League (CFL) during the 2017 season.

Before his professional career, Quinn had a standout collegiate career at Princeton University. He completed 100 of 171 (58.5%) passes for 981 yards and four touchdowns, rushed 70 times for 244 yards and 12 touchdowns during his senior season. During his junior season, Epperly matched the Princeton single-season record for passing touchdowns, he broke the NCAA consecutive completion record when he completed 29 straight passes and broke the Princeton single-game completions and touchdown passes record. He finished 10th in the Walter Payton Award voting as the FCS National Player of the Year.

Jones (6'5, 225lbs) will be entering his rookie season in the Indoor Football League (IFL). Over his remarkable high school career, Paul passed for 5,667 yards and 60 touchdowns. He was selected to play in the 2010 U.S. Army All-American Bowl, was a Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Fabulous 22 member and All-WPIAL honoree.

" Students of the game! Quinn Epperly and Paul Jones are both QB's that want to learn everything there is to learn about the indoor game," said Head Coach Kurtiss Riggs. "Quinn Epperly is a QB that has been on the cusp of making the NFL. Quinn is a smart, athletic QB that we feel can make the transition to the indoor game and can excel with his versatility. We are excited to see him come in and lead this team. Paul Jones is a big strong QB that can also run and pass. Paul is capable of making any throw needed but can also hurt you with his legs. Both QB's will come in and dominate the film room and learn the style of play that it takes to be successful."
