Storm Looks to Respond in Rematch Game vs. Waterloo

Kearney, NE. - The Tri-City Storm hopes to respond from last night's shutout loss to Waterloo in tonight's rematch with the Black Hawks. The Storm were held off the scoreboard for the second time this season in Friday night's low scoring affair at the Viaero Center.

The Storm fell to Waterloo last night at the Viaero Center for just their second loss through ten games played on the 2017-2018 season. The 1-0 defeat snapped Tri-City's six game winning streak and four game winning streak at home.

Storm goalie Filip Larsson recorded the loss despite only allowing one goal and denying 18 of 19 Waterloo shots. Tri-City went 0 for 2 of the Power play and 1 for 3 on the penalty kill. The power play goal allowed in the 1st period was just the fourth goal given up by the Storm when down a man this season.

Waterloo goaltender Jared Moe posted the shutout last night, stopping all 25 Storm shots. It was the second shutout of the season for both Waterloo and goaltender Jared Moe. Moe stopped 30 shots in a Waterloo 2-0 shutout of Dubuque on October 13th.

Tri-City's offensive leaders through the first ten games include Connor McMenamin Adam Goodsir, Tyler Ward, Bryan Yoon, Filip Forsmark and Hugo Blixt. McMenamin leads the team with 8 points on the season. Yoon and McMenamin each have recorded 7 assists, and Adam Goodsir has provided a team high 4 goals to the Storm offense. Ward and Yoon are tied for the second most points on the team with 7. Forsmark and Blixt each have 6 points, third best for the Storm offense.
