January 25, 2016 - United States Hockey League (USHL)
Tri-City Storm News Release

The Tri-City Storm continues to challenge for the conference lead after splitting a weekend set with the third-best team in the league, the Dubuque Fighting Saints. Heading into a six-game road trip, its longest of the season, the Storm ranks second in the conference with 41 points, two points behind the Lincoln Stars for the top mark.

Besides the on-ice success, the Storm drew its second consecutive sell-out of the season Friday and had 7,896 fans pass through the gates in total this weekend, its best drawing set of the season.

Friday on Sammy's Superheroes Night presented by First National Bank, the Storm sold out against the Fighting Saints and treated the fans to a 4-1 win. The Storm raised money for pediatric cancer research and six children fighting cancer received a "game-day experience" with players and coaches. In addition, special, one-night-only jerseys were auctioned off to raise money for the Sammy's Superheroes Foundation.
