SIOUX FALLS, SD - The Sioux Falls Storm battled the Green Bay Blizzard on Saturday, April 15th for a week nine contest at the Denny Sanford Premier Center where the Storm defeated the Blizzard 55-33.

Lorenzo Brown connected with Korey Williams on a 19-yard pass to put the Storm on top 6-0 on the Storm's opening drive. Green Bay would cut the Storm's lead in half after a successful 26-yard field goal attempt by Jared Fohrrman. Sioux Falls would end the first quarter with a 13-3 lead after Robbie Rouse plunged into the end zone from two-yards out.

The Storm began the second quarter with a one-yard rushing touchdown by Korey Williams, extending the Storm's lead to 20-3. The Blizzard would answer quickly after Jack Bramswig reeled in a 40-yard pass from Matt Behrendt and then the Blizzard defense would stop the Storm in the end zone for a team safety, cutting the lead to 20-12. The Sioux Falls Storm would score back-to-back touchdowns when Lorenzo Brown took in a seven-yard quarterback keeper and then Mike Tatum caught a 19-yard reception from Lorenzo Brown, expanding the Storm's lead 33-12. Blizzard quarterback Matt Behrendt would connect with Dorian Buford to bring the score to 33-19. The Storm ended the half with a lead of 36-19 after Justin Syrovatka booted a 32-yard field goal.

The third quarter was a back and forth battle. The Storm scored first after another quarterback keeper by Lorenzo Brown advancing the Storm's lead to 43-19. Green Bay answered again when Matt Behrendt hit Marquel Willis for a 13-yard touchdown, ending the quarter with the Storm leading 43-25.

Sioux Falls would score back-to-back touchdowns to start the fourth quarter after Lorenzo Brown and Dominic Goodwin connected for a 22-yard touchdown then a one-yard rushing touchdown by Drew Powell, increasing the Storm's lead to 55-25. Green Bay ended the game after a nine-yard pass from Matt Behrendt to Jack Bramswig and a successful two-point conversion bringing the final score to 55-33.

Quarterback Lorenzo Brown completed 9 of 13 passes for 122 yards and three touchdowns. Robbie Rouse carried the ball 10 times for 26 yards and one touchdown. Korey Williams caught three passes for 40 yards and one touchdown, while rushing for 10 yards and one touchdown. Elijah Fields grabbed one interception. Tyler Knight led the Storm with ten total tackles while the Thunder Defense sacked Blizzard quarterback Matt Behrendt six times.

The Sioux Falls Storm (7-0) and Green Bay Blizzard (2-6) will face each other in a week ten battle on April 22nd at 7:05 PM.
