Storm Chasers to Dedicate American Legion Riders

Omaha Storm Chasers News Release
The Omaha Storm Chasers will dedicate a American Legion Riders POW/MIA seat, a permanent seat at Werner Park dedicated to soldiers who are officially unaccounted for as "Prisoners of War" and "Missing In Action" that will remain unoccupied. The dedication will take place at the end of the fourth inning of the Storm Chasers' game on Sunday, May 26 near Section 125 of the ballpark, located down the left field line.
A tribute video will also be played during the dedication ceremony for Robert Swanson. Swanson, a Vietnam Veteran and member of American Legion Riders who spearheaded and funded the seat, died earlier this month.
Prior to the Storm Chasers' contest that evening, "Taps" will be played, in addition to a Rifle Salute, before the National Anthem as part of Memorial Day Weekend ceremonies.
Sunday, May 26. The pre-game ceremony is expected to take place around 6:45pm, with media encouraged to arrive before that time. The seat dedication and tribute video will then take place at the conclusion of the fourth inning at the Werner Park 12356 Ballpark Way Papillion, NE 68046
