Storm Chasers Introduce "Ticket Replay" in Response to Early Weather Issues
May 9, 2013 - Pacific Coast League (PCL1) - Omaha Storm Chasers News Release
OMAHA, Neb. - Before the 2011 season, Omaha's only professional baseball team took on the name of the Storm Chasers, but during the first month of the 2013 season it seems the storms are chasing the team. Werner Park has seen three postponements due to inclement weather, and record low temperatures for games that have been played. In response to these early season weather woes, the Omaha Storm Chasers are offering up three future game dates where fans can exchange any unused ticket during the first three affected homestands for "Ticket Replay."
" The Omaha Storm Chasers and Werner Park have been successful during the first two seasons at our new home due to the overwhelming support of many fans," Storm Chasers President and General Manager Martie Cordaro said. "This is an opportunity to do the right thing and offer these same fans the opportunity to enjoy baseball in better weather than what was experienced through May 6."
Tickets purchased and not used for the 16 home games so far in the 2013 season can now be exchanged for tickets of equal or lesser value on May 23 (Thursday), June 3 (Monday) and June 18 (Tuesday). Tickets are subject to availability. The "Ticket Replay" dates are in addition to the normal postponement policy for the three scheduled games that were not played, where fans can exchange tickets to any Storm Chasers game this season excluding July 3 and August 23.
