Storm Adds to Offensive Line

June 6, 2014 - Arena Football League (AFL)
Tampa Bay Storm News Release

TAMPA BAY - The Tampa Bay Storm has acquired offensive lineman Lawrence Martin, announced vice president of football operations Jeff Gooch.

"Lawrence is a versatile player that can play at multiple positions on the offensive line," said Gooch. "Versatility is a key component to the game of arena football and we believe he fits that mold."

Martin (6-foot-3, 310 lbs., South Florida) joins the Storm for his rookie season in the Arena Football League. The Daytona Beach native began his collegiate career at Georgia Military College, before transferring to Merced College and finally settling in at South Florida. Martin played two seasons with the Bulls (2012 and 2013) seeing action on the offensive line.

The team placed defensive back Terrence Mitchell on injured reserve. Mitchell started in 2-of-4 games played this season.
