Stone Crabs Reveal 2013 Promo Schedule

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - The Charlotte Stone Crabs revealed their 2013 promotional schedule today. The 2013 season marks the Stone Crabs fifth season as a team in Charlotte County. The Stone Crabs will feature brand new promotions to entertain fans during the 2013 season, while maintaining fan favorites like, fireworks shows and Thirsty Thursdays.

"We want to make the Stone Crabs fifth anniversary season the best year yet," Stone Crabs General Manager Corey Brandt said. "We are excited about our new promotions and look forward to seeing our fans again in 2013."

The Stone Crabs weekly promotions are highlighted by the introduction of Freebie Fridays. Every Friday once lucky Stone Crabs fan will go home with a great prize like, a plasma TV, iPad, washer-dryer set, and more! Also new in 2013, Thirsty Thursdays will be combined with Dollar Deal Days. Not only will draft beers be priced at $1, hot dogs, fountain sodas and ice cream sandwiches will also cost fans just $1. The Stone Crabs will continue to host Seniors Eat Free on Tuesdays in 2013.

Several new promotional nights are featured in the Stone Crabs 2013 schedule. These nights include a Senior Prom and Date Nights throughout the season. The Stone Crabs will also host the first ever Stitch and Pitch at Charlotte Sports Park on April 23.

The Stone Crabs will also host special Mother's Day and Father's Day celebrations during the 2013 Season. The Pink Jersey auction to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure will be combined with the Diamond Dig in 2013 to celebrate Mother's Day on May 18. The Stone Crabs will celebrate Father's Day June 13 with a pregame catch on the field for fathers and their children and a special prize for one lucky father in attendance.

The Stone Crabs' 2013 season will feature six post-game fireworks shows. There will also be two Splash Days at Charlotte Sports Park during the midst of the hot Florida summer, June 23 and August 11. Fans will be asked once again to bring their K-9 friends to the ballpark as Bark in the Park returns May 19.

The Stone Crabs will open their 2013 home schedule Saturday, April 6 at 6:30 p.m. against the Palm Beach Cardinals with a magnet schedule giveaway for the first 5,000 fans to enter Charlotte Sports Park.

Season Seat packages for the 2013 season are currently on sale and start at just $65 for a 10-Game Mini Plan, $175 for a Half-Season Plan and $310 for a Full-Season Seat package.
