Stingrays Receive Eves from Trenton

North Charleston, SC - The South Carolina Stingrays and Head Coach/Director of Hockey Operations Cail MacLean announced today that the team has acquired Dan Eves from the Trenton Devils in exchange for future considerations.

Eves, 24, skated in 59 games last season with the Devils scoring 23 goals and 22 assists for 45 points and tallied 102 penalty minutes. The Lake Orion, MI native finished the 2009-10 campaign tied for the second best plus-minus rating on the team with a +15 and finished third in goals and fourth in points despite missing 23 games. Prior to turning pro, Eves spent four years at Lake Superior State University earning 63 points (29g, 34a) in 145 games. While with the Lakers, the 6-foot-2, 210-pound forward earned the Soo Blueliner Award during his junior season and was a teammate of current Stingrays forward Trent Campbell.

The Stingrays drop the puck on their 18th season of hockey in the Low Country on Friday, October 22 against the Gwinnett Gladiators at 7:35 p.m. at the Arena at Gwinnett Center. Opening Weekend is set for Friday, November 5, Saturday, November 6 and Sunday, November 7 against the Florida Everblades at 7:05 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. at North Charleston Coliseum.
