Kalamazoo, MI- Wings Stadium, which is also home to The Annex and The Cube, announces the first-ever Sticks N' Strikes Tournament will be Friday, September 18th-Sunday, September 20th.
Your team may be good at hockey or your team may be good at softball, but the Sticks N' Strikes Tournament will answered the question; are you good at both? Teams from around the area will compete in a unique hockey/softball tournament.
Admission is $600 per team, with each team guaranteed two hockey and two softball contests. The hockey games will be played at Wings Stadium, while the softball games will occur at Wenke Softball Complex in Comstock.
All players that are not current members of USA Hockey for the '09-'10 season (May 1st - April 30th) must become members by the start of the tournament. The membership fee is $30 per player (additional local affiliate fee may apply) and can be done online at
The game schedule will be posted on the Wings Stadium website at www.wingsstadium.com/hockey.htm#adult, and will be e-mailed to the team contacts prior to the event.
To reserve a spot in the tournament mail, fax, e-mail the official registration and roster form with full payment by the entry deadline date to Wings Stadium, Attn: Ice Events Department 3600 Vanrick Dr. Kalamazoo, MI 49001; Fax# (269) 383-8029; jweber@wingsstadium.
Deadline for registration will be Friday, September 11th.
Stadium Management Company owns both the Wings Stadium Complex and the Kalamazoo Wings hockey team. The Wings Stadium Complex is comprised of three buildings; Wings Stadium seats more than 5,100 fans for K-Wings home games and more than 8,000 people for concerts and other stage events. The Annex seats 1,367 for ice events and can seat up to 2,850 for non-ice events such as car, boat, and trade shows. The Cube is the newest of the three facilities, that plays host to both ice and non-ice events. All three buildings are available for rental and feature numerous catering and meeting opportunities.
