Bowie Baysox News Release

DJ Stewart delivered the knockout blow. His fifth inning grand slam ended a seven-run Baysox rally that lifted the Baysox to a 13-7 rain-shortened win in Portland Saturday night.

The slam was the exclamation point on a big night for Stewart who drove in a career-high six runs on the night. He had a sacrifice fly in the first inning and an RBI-single up the middle in the fourth. In the fifth, Stewart's grand slam was a no doubt shot into the top of the seats in right field at Hadlock Field. It was his second home run in as many nights and his 15th of the season.

Bowie took the lead without a hit in the first as Red Sox rehabbing reliever Carson Smith walked the first three batters of the game. The Baysox led 4-0 after the top of the third when Bowie got two-out RBI hits from Aderlin Rodriguez and Adrian Marin.

Yefry Ramirez battled command in his Orioles organizational debut but notched his league-leading 11th win allowing three runs on 5 and 2/3rd innings. Ryan Flaherty rehabbed with Bowie and went 0-for-2 with three walks and three runs scored. Garabez Rosa notched four hits to lead all Baysox in the win.

The series and New England road trip concludes Sunday afternoon as the Baysox send LHP John Means to the hill in Portand. First pitch is slated for 1:00 p.m. sharp. Coverage will begin 20-minutes prior to first pitch on wnav.com, baysox.com and via the WNAV, MILB and Tune-In Radio Apps.
