Steelhawks Host Wolfpack on March 19th

Allentown, PA-The Lehigh Valley Steelhawks will open their 2017 NAL season at home, inside the PPL Center, this Sunday, March 19th. Kickoff will be at 4:00pm and feature the 'Hawks taking on the Wolfpack. The game is presented by Service Electric Cable TV/TV2 Sports, the Official Sports Network of the Steelhawks. The first 2,000 fans in the door will receive a free Steelhawks/Service Electric hat!
The Steelhawks are led by a crew of veteran offensive players this year. The team returns all of their starting wide receivers from last season, including Darius Prince (LV's 2016 leading receiver) and Brandon Renford (LV's all-time leading receiver). Quarterbacks Warren Smith Jr. and Ray Wagner are both veteran leaders that are more than capable of taking control of the offense. Wagner has as a rocket of an arm while Smith Jr. is a threat through the air and on the ground. A dangerous rushing attack comes in the form of a pair of rumbling fullbacks: Rustin Mayorga and Wyreaz Bradley.
Lehigh Valley's defense has experience sprinkled throughout each level. Veteran Steelhawks include DL Tim Hume and LB/DL Chris Alvarez; both in their third seasons with the 'Hawks. Alvarez spent half of last season in Philadelphia with the Soul (AFL). Defensive backs Dom Joseph and Rodney Hall Jr. are new to the Valley but aren't rookies to the arena game. Joseph spent a season playing for the Trenton Freedom in 2015. Hall Jr. played in the AIF opposite the Steelhawks last season as he was a part of the Philadelphia Yellow Jackets organization.
In what is the first game of the 2017 NAL season for both teams, fans can expect a high powered Steelhawks attack who shined during training camp. This will be the inaugural game for the newly formed Wolfpack.
