Steel add four to staff

GENEVA, ILLINOIS - The Chicago Steel announced Wednesday four important additions to the team staff, including Kyle Kreger as Vice President of Corporate Partnerships, Jim Schroeder as Athletic Trainer, Patrick Dolan as Director of Hockey Operations and Anthony Ciambriello as Equipment Manager.

Kreger is working to develop partnerships with area businesses for effective marketing and hospitality solutions. He previously worked as Manager of Group and Hospitality Sales at Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet. Kreger spent 12 years as a minor-league baseball executive, serving as General Manager of the Normal CornBelters, as well as Assistant General Manager of Sales for the Joliet JackHammers. He graduated from Illinois State University with a major in Public Relations and a minor in Marketing.

Schroeder returns home to Chicagoland for his first season with the Steel in 2015-2016. The Wood Dale native is responsible for evaluating and treating injuries and illnesses to Steel players, as well as coordinating referrals to team physicians. His athletic training experience includes six seasons in the USHL, one with the Tri-City Storm (2008-2009), and most recently, five with the Youngstown Phantoms (2011-2016) through NovaCare Rehabilitation. Schroeder graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with an emphasis on Movement Science before going on to receive an Entry Level Master of Athletic Training from The University of Findlay (Ohio).

As Director of Hockey Operations, Dolan is responsible for managing all team video needs, statistical analysis, coordinating travel, scheduling off-ice officials and assisting the coaching staff with day-to-day needs. He joins the Steel following two years with the AHL affiliates of the NHL's Arizona Coyotes. In 2015-2016 with the Springfield Falcons, Dolan served as Video Coordinator, managing team video, statistical analysis, opponent pre-game scouting and team travel. He filled a similar role the prior season as a Video Coordinator Intern with the Portland Pirates. Dolan volunteered with the Big Ten Men's Ice Hockey Tournament in 2014, assisting with media relations. The Colorado native graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College (St. Peter, Minn.) in 2014 with a Business Management major and a Coaching minor.

Ciambriello enters his first season with the Steel in 2015-2016 as Equipment Manager. He brings four years of experience from the pro hockey ranks, serving as Assistant Equipment Manager for the ECHL's Orlando Solar Bears in 2015-2016. Prior to his time with the Solar Bears, Ciambriello held an Assistant Equipment Manager role with the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers. Ciambriello is responsible for all team equipment needs, jersey embroidery, skate sharpening and more.

All four have started with the Steel and are preparing for the team's 2016-2017 season which will begin with an exhibition game on Sunday, Sept. 4 at Fox Valley Ice Arena. The Steel's 17th regular season begins at home with Opening Night on Saturday, Sept. 24 against the Green Bay Gamblers. Puck drop is set for 7:05 p.m. CDT. The first 500 kids (14 and under) in attendance will receive a complimentary Steel replica youth jersey.

The Steel closed the 2015-2016 regular season winning its last five games, and three members of the 2015-2016 team were selected in the 2016 NHL Draft.
