Steaming Storm Power Play Falls at Lincoln, 4-3

Lincoln, Neb. - The Tri-City Storm collected a season-high three power-play goals, but the Lincoln Stars scored three in the third period to rally for a 4-3 victory Wednesday at The Ice Box.
Joseph Campolieto scored his first USHL goal on the man up with 45 seconds left and an extra Storm skater on to pull Tri-City within a goal. Alex Limoges scored his team-best tenth of the season. Adam Goodsir had his first multi-point game in the USHL, with a goal and an assist.
The Storm's power play is scoring at 24.3 percent, best in the Western Conference and second in the league.
Lincoln's three third-period tallies came in a span of 13 minutes to erase the Storm's lead; Tri-City was in front, 2-1, entering the third.
Dayton Rasmussen made 36 saves in defeat. Cayden Primeau took the win with 21 stops.
Late in the first, Tri-City's power play went to its first man up and tied the game at one. On a net-front scramble, Limoges tapped the puck in. Initially, the officials blew the play dead and signaled no goal. The play was overturned and gave Limoges the goal with 2:44 left, assisted by Wyatt Bongiovanni and Joseph Campolieto. Bongiovanni's assist gives him five helpers during a four-game point streak.
Goodsir followed up with another goal on the Storm's next power play to put Tri-City ahead. The recipient of a give-and-go from Paul Washe, Goodsir buried a shot from the slot for his fourth of the season. All of the 18-year-old's goals have come in the last six games.
Tri-City killed off three Lincoln power plays in the second.
At 12:38 of the third, Lincoln's Mike Gillespie scored the go-ahead goal to move the Stars ahead, 3-2. Ethen Frank added an insurance goal two minutes later.
Campolieto scored his first USHL goal by stuffing the puck in at the right post. Adam Goodsir assisted to help the Storm power play finish 3-for-5. The Storm went 3-for-3 on the penalty kill.

Friday, November 25, Tri-City travels to Sioux Falls for the final time this season and drops the puck with the Stampede at 7:05 p.m. The game will be broadcast on Classic Hits 98.9 FM. The next night, Saturday, November 26, the Storm matches Des Moines for the first time, with the game on The Breeze 94.5 FM.
Tri-City returns home for a pair of home games on Friday, December 2 and Saturday, December 3 against Waterloo. Friday's game is a 7:05 p.m. puck drop for First Responders Night, presented by New West Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Surgery, plus a $5 Kids Friday. Tri-City will honor local first responders throughout the night, paying tribute to the hard work and efforts of so many in the central Nebraska community.
Saturday, December 3 is Boy Scout Day, presented by Cabela's, and features a special 3:05 p.m. start time and one-game-only specialty jerseys that will be auctioned off after the game.
