State-Of-The-Art Scoreboard Highlights Renovations

May 17, 2016 - Northwest League (NWL1)
Salem-Keizer Volcanoes News Release

Just like diamonds need to be polished every decade or so, so do baseball diamonds and that is precisely what the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes did this offseason. Highlighted by a state-of-the-art video board, Volcanoes Stadium will also display a new group seating patio area at field level, a refurbished kids zone, and contemporary table seating on the main concourse behind home plate. In anticipation of thirteen sellout nights and nine fireworks nights, the organization decided to revamp a few areas around the ballpark to make the stadium look beautiful for the team's 20th anniversary.

The feature addition, a 400-square foot LED scoreboard, features major league level graphics, sharp clarity, and a chic design that raises the standard for minor league scoreboards. To coincide with the scoreboard overlay, the new video screen allows fans to clearly see who is batting or pitching, their statistics, and allows for slick transitions between displays. The video board will allow for fan interaction through social media as well as for other live video and presentations by the Volcanoes production team.

The new Party Patio seating area, for groups of 75 or more, places the group at field level directly next to the Volcanoes dugout. With brand new furniture and a modern baseball experience, groups can enjoy a night at the ballpark with front row seats to the action. The patio is lined with protective netting and has carefully been placed to maximize proximity to the field while keeping the patrons safe. Call the Volcanoes ticket office for information on how you can plan your next group outing to Volcanoes Stadium.

The Volcanoes motto "Family Fun, Well Done" is even more apparent this year as the stadium boasts a new and upgraded Kids Zone, including a new playground-style area as well as four inflatables and a new Speed Pitch for the main concourse. Adding to the family outing environment are eight VIP tables on the main concourse behind home plate with swivel seats, which provide fans with a comfortable and fantastic angle to enjoy the game. Each table has four chairs and tables, which the Volcanoes are looking to sell to businesses but may become available to individual groups of four pending availability. Call the Volcanoes ticket office for more details on how to acquire seats for these tables.

The additions to Volcanoes Stadium improves the stadium aesthetics and help transition the ballpark into a more modern baseball stadium while still sticking to the roots of the organization for "family fun". For more information about planning your next trip to Volcanoes Stadium, call the Volcanoes ticket office at (503) 390-2225 or visit the ticket office at the stadium, open Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
