Stars Sign Roneeka Hodges

SAN ANTONIO - The San Antonio Stars today announced that they have signed former Stars guard Roneeka Hodges to a training camp contract.

"We are excited to have Roneeka back in San Antonio," said Stars General Manager Ruth Riley. "As a former Stars player, we know she fits our culture. Her veteran presence, work ethic and skill set will be a great addition to our training camp roster."

The 11-year WNBA veteran played with the Stars during the 2010 and 2011 seasons, averaging 6.0 points and 2.3 rebounds in 18.3 minutes. Throughout her WNBA career, she recorded 6.0 points and 1.8 rebounds in 18.4 minutes. The Houston Comets selected the Florida State Seminole 15th overall in the 2005 WNBA Draft, where she played three seasons until being selected by the Minnesota Lynx in the 2009 dispersal draft. Hodges has also played for the Indiana Fever (2012), Tulsa Shock (2012-14) and Atlanta Dream 2015.

The Stars will tip off the 2017 season, presented by H-E-B, on the road with back-to-back games May 13 at New York and May 14 at Washington before their home opener vs. Phoenix on May 19 at 7 p.m. CT at the AT&T Center.
