Stars Reassign Tyler Beskorowany to Idaho

CEDAR PARK, TX - The Texas Stars, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the Dallas Stars, announced today that Dallas has reassigned goaltender Tyler Beskorowany (pronounced behs-cohr-WAH-nee) from Texas to the Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL.

Beskorowany, 22, was reassigned to Texas on January 12th and dressed as the backup goaltender for the Stars in two games. The Sudbury, Ontario native has appeared in 20 games this season for Idaho, posting a 10-7-3 record with a 2.61 goals-against average, a 0.913 save percentage and one shutout. Beskorowany was drafted by Dallas in the second round (59th overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft and has played in 51 career AHL games for Texas, with a 17-27-1 record, 3.10 goals-against average, an 0.899 save percentage and two shutouts.

Texas continues its six-game road trip on Friday, January 18th with a chance for instant revenge against the Chicago Wolves at 7:30 p.m. at Allstate Arena. The Stars return home on Saturday, January 26th to square off with the San Antonio Rampage at 7:00 p.m. at Cedar Park Center.
