Kalamazoo Wings News Release

Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the ECHL, three-time defending North Division Champions and National Hockey League affiliate to the Vancouver Canucks, and American Hockey League's Chicago Wolves announce stars from truTV's wildly successful reality television series, Hardcore Pawn, will be the featured entertainment when the K-Wings host the Toledo Walleye on Saturday, March 9th at 7:30 p.m.

The iconic American Jewelry and Loan Diamond overlooks the intersection of 8 Mile and Greenfield in the historic City of Detroit. With 50,000 sq ft of cash and goods surrounding them, there are millions to be made - but their profits come with huge risk as sometimes the customers lose their minds. Welcome to the world of Hardcore Pawn.

Les, Seth and Ashley will be signing autographs and bringing merchandise for K-Wings fans to see and purchase. Plus, fans can also bring in approved items for appraisal during the game. One lucky fan from the audience will get to play the K-Wings/Hardcore Pawn version of "Let's Make a Deal" on the ice between periods.

Les Gold

Les Gold is a third-generation pawnbroker and the charismatic patriarch of the American Jewelry and Loan family. This "King of Pawn" is hard-nosed, old school and street-smart. Les's rule over his 50,000 square-foot kingdom is absolute. He's known for driving a hard bargain his passion for collecting unusual items which often causes conflict with his son Seth, and daughter Ashley on their truTV reality show Hardcore Pawn.

Les is an expert on pretty much everything; from diamonds and furs to cars and cameras. Regardless of what his children may say, at the end of the day everyone knows - "You don't mess with Les".

Seth Gold Seth Gold has worked full-time at American Jewelry and Loan since graduating from the University of Michigan. Seth works alongside his sister, Ashley Broad and his father, Les Gold. Their store, American Jewelry and Loan is in the heart of Detroit and the subject of truTV's top-rated show, Hardcore Pawn.

Seth is known for being a smart businessman who is bringing a modern structure and approach for marketing to the business that his father has grown over the past 40 years. Seth prides himself on implementing a corporate structure to this expanding family business, which often drives Les crazy and causes conflict with his sister Ashley.

Ashley Broad

Ashley Gold Broad was born with the pawn business was in her blood. After graduating from Michigan State University, she attended from the Gemological Institute and went right to work at American Jewelry and Loan, founded by her father in 1978 in one of Detroit's toughest neighborhoods. In addition to her passion for diamonds and gems, Ashley is an expert in vintage jewelry and other antiques.

Ashley brings a feminine touch to the otherwise male-dominated world of pawn brokers. She's known for being straightforward and tough, yet compassionate and focused. Having managed the store herself back while younger brother Seth was in college, she isn't afraid to make her opinions, which often conflict with those of her brother and father, known. This sibling rivalry is frequently highlighted in truTV's #1 show, Hardcore Pawn.
