Lincoln Stars News Release
Lincoln, Neb. - The Stars have added forward Maxim Rasseikin of the MHL, the team announced on Thursday.
Rasseikin posted three goals in four games for Avto Yekaterinburg in the top Russian junior league. Last season he recorded 13 points in 42 games.
"Max is a good skater with very good puck skills who I think will fit in nicely in Lincoln," Stars GM Jon Hull said. "We feel he will give us an extra jolt and help us attain our goal of reaching the playoffs."
The 6'1," 174 lb. forward played three games for the professional club, Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg, in the Kontinental Hockey League prior to returning to the MHL earlier this season.
Rasseikin was given a "C" rating by NHL Central Scouting, indicating he's projected to be drafted between the 4th and 6th round of the NHL draft. He is a 1998 birth year eligible to be selected in 2016.
The Stars return to the Ice Box on Friday, Jan. 29 against the Muskegon Lumberjacks. For tickets and more information log on to lincolnstars.com.
