Stars Acquire Justin Lee from Cedar Rapids

LINCOLN, Neb. - The Lincoln Stars have acquired defenseman Justin Lee from the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders in exchange for a player and a 2019 Phase II 5th Round Pick, the team announced today.
Lee, 18, played 57 games for the Virden Oil Capitals during the 2017-18 season, totaling seven goals and 28 assists for 35 points with 76 penalty minutes through 57 games. The Waskada, Man. product was named Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL) Rookie of the Year and earned MJHL All-Rookie Team honors. The 5-foot-9, 170-pound defenseman was selected 116th overall (8th Round) by the RoughRiders in the 2017 USHL Phase II Draft.
Lee also participated in the Winnipeg Jets 2018 Development Camp and is committed to the University of Denver.
"Justin has a unique skill set of skating and offensive ability. We feel adding him will enhance our defensive core," said Stars GM Jon Hull.
The full 30-man protected list will be announced on September 1.
