Stampede Stumble in Austin

AUSTIN, Texas - The Idaho Stampede made just 32-of-92 shots (34.8 percent) and fell to the Austin Toros as the home team celebrated pre-game with their 2012 D-League Championship ring presentation. Idaho (0-3) was led by Durrell Summers, who had 19 points on 8-of-19 shooting. The wing from Michigan State has led the team in scoring in each of the Stampede's first three games.

Austin (1-2) won its first game of the season with six players reaching double-figures, but no player hitting for more than 14 points. Tyler Wilkerson (12 rebounds), Justin Dentmon (eight assists, six rebounds, five steals) and Luther Head (2-2 3FG) each had 14 points.

Sean Evans had his second double-double of the season with 12 points and 15 boards, while Justin Harper added 16 points and 13 rebounds for his second double-double, as well. Jai Lucas added 14 off the bench, as starters Coby Karl and Justin Holiday had just 11 combined points on 3-of-18 shooting combined. Idaho made just 5-of-23 three-pointers and the Stampede never led after early in the second quarter.

Idaho plays Austin tomorrow at 2 p.m. (MST) before coming home to play the Toros to open up the home slate on Dec. 7 and 8. The game on Friday, December 7 vs. Austin at 7 p.m. will be for a special night, Heroes at the Hardwood presented by Pioneer Federal Credit Union.
