Sioux Falls, SD-Eric MacAdams' goal 39 seconds into overtime lifted the Sioux Falls Stampede past the Tri-City Storm 4-3 before 4,993 fans at the PREMIER Center Friday night. MacAdams tallied two goals in the game while Nolan Walker and Jaxon Nelson also posted goals in the win for the Herd who improved to 6-10-1 on the season. Mikhail Berdin was sharp in goal, stopping 22 of 25 shots in goal for his fourth win of the year and Alex Stevens chipped in with two helpers. The Stampede overcame deficits of 2-0 and 3-2 to win the game.

The first half of the period didn't feature a ton of excitement as both teams were shedding their Thanksgiving pounds, but it quickly picked up in the final seven minutes of the period. The Storm (7-7-4) grabbed the first goal of the game when Joseph Campolieto blasted a shot from the left point that went past the glove side Berdin and into the netting to make it a 1-0 game. Just over a minute later the Storm doubled their lead when Linus Weissbach intercepted a Stampede pass and found Paul Washe open in front of the net to make it 2-0. Sioux Falls got on the board at 18:06 when Nolan Walker tallied his first career USHL goal on the power play. Walker picked up a loose puck in the slot and wristed the puck past Tri-City goaltender Eric Dop to pull the Herd within a goal. The goal was not only Walker's first of the year, but broke a 0-for-20 string on the power play for the Herd. Sioux Falls outshot the Storm 8-4 in the period.

Much of the second period was uneventful with both teams battling back-and-forth, but neither creating many scoring chances. The score remained 2-1 until the final 90 seconds when Eric MacAdams took a long pass from Berdin up the right wing boards and broke in on a 2-on-1 and made a toe drag move in the right circle before firing a shot right through the five-hole of Dop to tie the game 2-2 and bring all 4,933 fans to their feet. Sioux Falls nearly added to their lead just seconds later on a rush led by Lean Bergmann, but Dop made a save to keep the game 2-2 at the end of two periods. The Stampede outshot the Storm 19-13 in the period.

The third period proved to be an exciting one at the PREMIER Center. The Storm regained the lead at 8:08 when Danny DiGrande slipped open inside the right circle and one timed a pass from Paul Washe into the back of the goal to make it a 3-2 game. Minutes later the Herd found themselves down two men for two minutes. Tri-City had an opportunity to put the game away and kept the puck in the Stampede zone for the full two minutes, but Jack Doremus, Justin Wells, Paul DeNaples and Mikhail Berdin turned in an award winning effort, holding off the Storm and stealing the momentum back as the team went back to full strength. Just moments after the penalty expired the Herd tied the game on a goal from Jaxon Nelson. Austin Albrecht wristed a shot that was stopped by Dop and the rebound bounced in front of the goal to Nelson who quickly skated in and knocked home his fourth of the season. That would send the game into overtime with the Stampede outshooting the Storm 13-12 in the period.

There is seven minutes of overtime hockey in the USHL, but the Stampede only need 39 seconds of it. Alex Stevens sent a pass over the blue line to MacAdams who raced inside the right circle before cutting towards the net and backhaned a shot past the stick side of Dop to give the Stampede a huge victory on home ice. MacAdams finished with two on the night and has eight on the season.

Sioux Falls outshot the Storm 33-25 on the night and finished 1-for-6 on the power play while going 5-for-5 on the penalty kill against the league's second best power play unit.

The Stampede return to action Sunday when they host the U.S. Under-17 National Development Program at 4:05 PM. The KELO-FM Family 4-Packs are available for just $49 and include 4 lower level tickets, 4 hot dogs, 4 sodas and 1 large popcorn.
