Stampede Acquire Forward Karlsen from Tri-City

Sioux Falls Stampede News Release
Sioux Falls, SD-The Sioux Falls Stampede have acquired forward Christoffer Karlsen from the Tri-City Storm in exchange for a Phase I draft pick in 2017.
The Sarpsborg, Norway native appeared in four games this season with the Storm. The 5-foot-7, 175-pound right winger was an 8th round draft pick of Tri-City in the 2016 USHL Phase II Draft. He is considered a speedy forward who has already committed to playing collegiate hockey at St. Cloud State University beginning in 2018.
Karlsen (2/20/98) spent the 2015-16 season playing for HV71 in Sweden, posting 24 points (10g, 14a) in 28 games. He went on to captain Norway's U18 team in the World Junior Championships D1A level where he led the tournament with four goals in five games.
To make room on the roster, the Stampede released forward Leonard Forselisus who has returned home to Sweden. Karlsen and the Stampede return to action on Wednesday, November 23rd when they travel to Fargo to face the Force at 7:05 PM. The Herd return home on November 25th to host Tri-City at 7:05 PM.
