Stampede Acquire Darnell Lazare from Fort Wayne

BOISE, Idaho, February 26, 2014 - The Idaho Stampede today announced that they have acquired forward Darnell Lazare from the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. In return, Fort Wayne receives Idaho's original fourth round pick in the 2014 NBA Development League Draft.
Lazare (6-8, 240, Louisiana State) was acquired by the Fort Wayne Mad Ants on January 3, 2014. In 20 games with Fort Wayne this season, Lazare has 5.9 points and grabbed 3.6 rebounds per game. He also spent some time with the Maine Red Claws during the 2009-10 campaign, posting 10.5 points and 5.4 rebounds in 27 minutes per game.
Pending a physical, Lazare will be available for the Stampede Friday, February 28 when they host the Santa Cruz Warriors.
