He made his professional debut with the Batavia Muckdogs. His last professional game was with the Palm Beach Cardinals at the end of the 2010 season.

Niemann heads up the pitching staff after leading the Florida State League with a 2.65 ERA for the 2015 season. Niemann first joined the Cardinals organization in 2013, before that he had 24 years of coaching experience in the New York Mets and the Boston Red Sox organizations. Niemann was a former second round pick of the New York Yankees in 1975 out of College of the Redwoods and pitched 122 games in the MLB with the Chicago White Sox, Houston Astros, New York Mets, Minnesota Twins, and Pittsburgh Pirates.

Ecker is the new hitting coach after being promoted from the fourth coach on last year's team. It will be Ecker's second year in the organization after starting his professional coaching debut with the Palm Beach Cardinals last season. Ecker was drafted in the 22nd round by the Texas Rangers in the 2007 draft out of Lewis and Clark State College.

Jim Foster will be named the fourth coach for the Cardinals in the 2016 campaign. Foster was an Assistant Coach for four seasons at Washington University.

The trainer for the 2016 season will be Brent Neuharth. Neuharth will be joining the Palm Beach staff after serving as the trainer for the Peoria Chiefs during the 2015 season.
