SS Arroyo, RHP Travieso AFL Week 3 Players of the Week

Phoenix, Arizona - Scottsdale Scorpions SS Christian Arroyo (Giants) and Peoria Javelinas RHP Nick Travieso (Reds) are the Arizona Fall League's week three player of the week and pitcher of the week, respectively.

Arroyo - MLB.com's No. 2 San Francisco prospect hit .438 during week three with 1 home run, 3 RBI and 6 runs scored in four games with two walks and only one strikeout.

After the first three weeks of the Fall League season, the 20-year-old Tampa, FL native is tied for the league lead in runs scored (10) and ranks second in batting (.439), hits (18) and total bases (30).

He already boasts a four-hit game (October 30) that included a three-run homer and two three-hit efforts.

The 6-1, 180-pound shortstop spent the 2015 season at High-A San Jose where he hit .304 with nine homers and 42 RBI in 90 games. Following the season, MLB.com named him its Pipeline Organizational Hitting Prospect of the Year.

In his three-year professional career, the Giants' 2013 first-round (25th overall) draft choice owns a .303 batting average with 17 homers and 143 RBI in 224 games.

Travieso - MLB.com's No. 6 Cincinnati prospect struck out nine with no walks in nine innings pitched over two starts without a decision.

In three solid Fall League starts to date, the 6-2, 225-pound Pembroke Pines, FL product was 1-0 with a 1.50 ERA. Over 12 innings pitched, he has fanned 14 hitters without walking a batter.

Through three weeks, the Reds' 2012 first-round (14th overall) draft choice went 6-6 with a 2.70 ERA in 19 games at Single-A Daytona in 2015.

In his four-year professional career, Travieso is 27-17 with a 3.43 ERA in 70 outings.
