Spikes-Tigers Game Postponed

(STATE COLLEGE, PA)- Wednesday's 7:05 p.m. game between the State College Spikes and the Oneonta Tigers (Detroit Tigers) has been postponed due to sustained thundershowers at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. The game will be made up as part of a 5:05 p.m. doubleheader on Thursday, August 13 at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, with each game being seven innings in length.

Fans holding tickets dated Wednesday, August 12 can exchange them for tickets to any remaining 2009 Spikes regular season home game of equal or lesser value subject to prior sales and availability. To exchange tickets, fans can visit the Medlar Field at Lubrano Park Box Office or call the Spikes toll-free at (877) 99-SPIKES.

Gates will open at 4:00 p.m. for Thursday's doubleheader. Families can enjoy bonus baseball on a Kids Eat Free Thursday presented by FOX 8/ABC 23. Kids ages 12 and under will receive a voucher good for a free hot dog, free chips and a free small soda. Plus, fans can bring a hidden treasure to be appraised by nationally syndicated antiques columnist Dr. Lori on Dr. Lori's Antique Appraisal Night, and it's also Penns Valley Community Night at the ballpark.

Great seats remain for Thursday's action, as well as the 2009 New York-Penn League All-Star Game on Tuesday at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. Tickets also remain for the New York-Penn League All-Star Mountain Bash on Monday at the Tussey Mountain Ski Resort from 4-9 p.m. Fans attending the Mountain Bash can enjoy an all-you-can-eat and drink menu, live musical entertainment on the Tussey Mountain Main Stage and the chance to meet the All-Star players, coaches and VIP's.
